Bahnhof Plaue (Plaue Railway Station), Thuringia, Germany - 1st June, 2016.

Plaue is a town in the Ilm-Kreis district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated on the river Gera, 11 km north of Ilmenau, and 8 km southwest of Arnstadt.

Plaue Railway Station is a junction station on the Erfurt-Würzburg and Erfurt-Ilmenau railway lines. The Erfurt-Würzburg section is double tracked, and the Erfurt-Ilmenau section is mostly single tracked.

Plaue railway station is located in the east of the city center between Plaue and Kleinbreitenbach . It has three platforms: platform 1 is for trains to Würzburg, platform 2 for trains towards Erfurt and platform 3 for trains to Ilmenau, Würzburg and Erfurt. Platforms 2 and 3 can be accessed via an underpass.
