Hotel Review: InterCityHotel, Kassel Wilhelmshöhe, Hesse, Germany - June, 2016.



I stayed at the InterCityHotel next to Kassel Wilhelmshöhe railway station and transport interchange in June 2016. I stayed for one night, bed and breakfast which cost £62.76, booked with Booking.com.



I found the hotel to be a reasonable InterCityHotel, which was very conveniently located for Kassel Wilhelmshöhe railway station, and transport interchange, as well as the Kassel Bergpark, which is the predominant visitor attraction in the area.



The room had all of the standard facilities expected of an InterCityHotel, it seemed to be around 10 years old internally, but very disappointingly it had no air conditioning. It was a very hot day that I stayed there, and the lack of air conditioning made the room uncomfortably hot. This was not the only problem, there was no free wi-fi, and the distance from Kassel centre, became burdensome. I should add that the hotel does provide a free public transport travel card, but the journey to the centre of Kassel, was still an inconvenience.



This film features views of the following: the hotel exterior, entrance, reception, lift / elevator, 4th floor corridors, a detailed room inspection of room 415, which has a view over the transport interchange, the restaurant, breakfast buffet, bar, business corner and lobby.



If I am in Kassel again in future, it is unlikely that I would choose to stay at this hotel, instead I would opt for something more central in the City.
