Greenwich, London



Greenwich is a suburb of South-east London. It is one of the five boroughs of the London Docklands, connected to areas with docks of London historically by the River Thames and today to Canary Wharf and other buildings by the East London Line. Greenwich is famous for the eponymously named Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and Greenwich Meridian, which lies at 0 degrees Longitude. Greenwich is also historically famous for its naval and shipping connections.



This film is an exploration of Greenwich, beginning and ending at the Cutty Sack Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station. The film features locations within the urban centre of Greenwich, as well as Greenwich Park and the Greenwich Foot Tunnel, which connect Greenwich to The Isle of Dogs, beneath the River Thames.



Within this film, the following locations and features are identified: Cutty Sark Docklands Light Railway Station; St. Alfege Church, Greenwich High Road, Ye Olde Rose and Crown, King William Walk, Greenwich Park, Royal Observatory Greenwich, Wolfe Statue, Queen's House, National Maritime Museum, Romney Road, Royal Navy College, University of Greenwich, Sir Francis Drake Statue, Old Royal Navy College, River Thames, Greenwich Foot Tunnel, Island Gardens, Cutty Sark, and Greenwich Church Street.
