Review: InterCity Hotel, Hamburg Altona, Germany - September, 2014 This film features a review of the InterCity Hotel at Hamburg Altona railway station. I stopped here in September 2014 as I was taking a short cruise that began in Hamburg. The station's location was convenient for getting to from the airport via the S-Bahn, and also conveniently close to the cruise terminal. The hotel itself was OK, but very dated and certainly in my opinion sub-standard for the German InterCity brand. there was no safe in the room, the bed was uncomfortable, the decor was dated, the shower leaked and it was expensive at £240 for two nights room only. I would probably not stay in this particular hotel again, unless it was a very good value-for-money price.
