Illuminating York: Hidden Worlds by Seeper Projected on York Crown Court Building: 30th Oct 2014
http://ift.tt/1wtoJtM This film is mostly of the Hidden Worlds light projection by Seeper, which was projected onto York Crown Court building, as the 'headline' projection at the Illuminating York 2014 festival of light and art. Hidden Worlds was a 3D projection-mapped animation that took the audience on a journey into the hidden worlds of the microscopic and the unconscious in what was a unique experience. Hidden Worlds was inspired by York’s own John Snow, the 19th century physician who not only discovered how cholera spread, but also went on to pioneer the use of anaesthetics – saving countless lives and misery for those undergoing surgery. Seeper are themselves leading lights in their industry, having worked in digital projection mapping for the past 15 years. They are known for creating groundbreaking, immersive experiences that inspire a sense of wonderment. During Illuminating York, Clifford’s Tower was floodlit in colour to complement the main event ‘Hidden Worlds’ projection on the adjacent Crown Court Building. Perched atop the impressive mound built by William the Conqueror, Clifford’s Tower encloses one side of the Eye of York and its colours subtly enhanced the exciting immersive experience that awaits all who attended the festival there. Cruise Ship Review: MSC Magnifica (3 day mini-cruise from Hamburg to Southampton) - September 2014
http://ift.tt/1xQB5hO In September 2014, I took a three day mini-cruise from Hamburg to Southampton on the MSC Magnifica, the cruise was a bargain at £109 per person in a balcony cabin. Whilst on the ship, I took video footage of most of the public spaces, including open decks, bars, lounges, restaurants, shops and swimming pools. This film presents these, along with a review of the ship, food and cruise experience. The video is taken firstly at Hamburg Cruise Centre, and then on board the ship from Decks 5 - 7, 10, and 13-16. The identified locations within the video are as follows: Cabin 10071, Sport Centre, MSC Club Solarium, Il Bar Del Sole, Deck 15 sunbathing areas, Deck 13 pool area, Deck 13 indoor pool, Video Arcade, T32 Disco & Bowling, La Barchetta Bar, Deck 13 midship outdoor stage, Sahara Cafeteria, Deck 13 alfresco dining area, Royal Theatre, Atlantic City Casino, Card Room, Art Gallery, Bike Corner, Central Atrium, Cyber Cafe, Photo Gallery, L'Olimpiade Sporting Bar, L'Ametista Lounge, Deck 8 Promenade, Poker Room, Tiger Bar, Magnifica Meeting Room, Topazio Bar, Duty Free Shop, MSC Travel Agency, Il Rubino, Ruby Bar, Purple Bar, Quattro Venti Restaurant, Reception Guest Service, Le Gocce Bar, and the L'Edera Restaurant. This was an excellent ship, and a very enjoyable mini-cruise. I would definitely do this again and recommend it to others. I would also recommend Hamburg as a cruise embarkation point.
