Yesterday we visited the remaining ruins of the village of #Oradour-Sur-Glane near #Limoges in central #France. The village is the site of a World #War 2 #Nazi atrocity where 642 out of 648 residents were murdered (men shot, women and children burned, shot or blown up). This was in retaliation for the French #Resistance kidnapping 2 SS officers. The village remains as a testimony to man's inhumanity to man. It was truly a terrible yet fascinating place to visit. #WW2 #WWII #Francais #travel #tourism #tourist #DarkTourism
