I sat and ate lunch looking out on this #spectacular #view of the #River #Rhine at St Goar today. This is where the origins of #romance began, as poets and writers flocked here in the 18th Century to be inspired by the #landscape. The area was once ruled by the #Romans who left lots of ruins that visitors to the area came to see, hence the genre of #Romantik (with a k) writing was spawned. So that's Julius Caeser to Chick Flicks in one #photo! This was due to a fantastic #ERASMUS+ agreement which exists between our Universities.
